One & Done For Zwan

While not exactly shocking, the news that Zwan have disbanded is sure to bum some heads out. After releasing their one progtastic guitar jam of an album, Mary, Star Of The Sea, Billy Corgan and crew have decided to call it a day. Things started to come apart at the seams when bass player Paz Lenchantin withdrew from the band, forcing them to cancel their stage-headlining gig at Glastonbury in June. Paz consequently joined Papa M and the rumors started to fly about the state of Zwan. Corgan is expected to launch a solo career in the aftermath and he had this to say to Chicagoís WGN about the breakup. “I really enjoyed my experience with Zwan, but at the end of the day, without that sense of deeper family loyalty, it just becomes like anything else.”
