Green Day, NOFX, Alkaline Trio Rock Against Bush

As President Bush continues his dismantling of countries all over the world, including ours, more and more performing artists are getting to the point where they have had enough and want to take a stand. Add the names of bands such as Green Day, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, NOFX, Alkaline Trio and Pennywise to the list of the ìready to do something about it.î Each of these bands will be donating a track to Rock Against Bush, a compilation put out by Fat Wreck Chords and each band will play at least one night on a tour designed to raise awareness of the 2004 election. The tour will be a dual-pronged event, one leg of which will run around the time the album comes out in late spring and another closer to the November election. Some of the acts, like Green Day and Alkaline Trio, are even recording new tracks for the set. The planning is in the infant stages, but check out Fat Wreck Chordsí Fat Mikeís punkvoter.org website for further info.
