Libertines’ Pete Doherty To Exit Jail Early & Rejoin Mates?

The ever-changing saga that is The Libertines took another turn when it was announced today that not only may Pete Doherty be getting out of jail earlier than expected, he may rejoin The Libs when he gets out. You may remember that Doherty was kicked out of the band by co-founder Carl Barat due to Dohertyís addictions to crack and heroin, and told to clean himself up. Instead of cleaning himself up, however, Doherty instead broke into Baratís house when he was away on tour and was arrested and subsequently jailed. However, his lawyer has told the NME that ìI’ve got good legal argument for an appeal, in that the sentence ought to be reduced certainly and possibly that (Pete) should have received a community penalty and not gone to prison at all.î As always with this soap opera situation, tune in tomorrow for another plot twist.
