Jason Schwartzman Takes Leave Of Phantom Planet

Pretty boy actor/rocker combo Phantom Planet has a new album ready for release, and a tour with Ben Lee about to kick off, but it seems as if theyíre going to have to hit the pavement without a key member. Rushmore star and ëPlanet drummer Jason Schwartzman is ëPlanet drummer no more. Pitchfork is reporting that the band and the Coppola family member have parted ways, with ex-Big City Rocks skinsman Jeff Conrad taking up the duties behind the kit. The LA quintetís new album, Phantom Planet Forever, will still drop early new year, via Epic, and be on the lookout for lead single, ìBig Brat.î
