On November 18, Virgin Records will release a new Ben Harper DVD entitled Live At The Hollywood Bowl. The set captures the multi-talented Harper’s August 4 concert at the famed LA venue and was filmed by the directorial team The Malloys (Black Eyed Peas, Metallica, Avril Lavigne). According to Billboard, the DVD will show Harper and the Innocent Criminals running through their entire catalog and featuring songs from all of his five Virgin albums. Of course, bonus features will be included with the package as well. A soundcheck recording of “Ground On Down,” a backstage acoustic performance of “Glory & Consequence,” and a photo gallery of live and candid off-stage shots are all featured.
The same day the DVD drops (November 18 for all you stoners), Virgin will also release a four-track EP of songs culled from the Hollywood Bowl show. Those tracks are “Brown Eyed Blues,” “Amen Omen,” “With My Own Two Hands”/”War” and a live favorite of Harper’s, a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing.”
