The king of the Big Beat Boutique is almost back. Fatboy Slim has completed a good chunk of the recording of his new album. The record, which will feature guest vocals from Damon Albarn of Blur, as well as Blackaliciousí Lateef and Bootsy Collins, is the follow-up to 2000ís housetastic Between The Gutter & The Stars. In an interview with NME, Fatboy said that his album would be ìgetting back to my hip-hop roots,ì that he was ìnot turned on by house music much at the moment.î He also added that he was ìjust experimenting with different sounds and trying not to sound like classic Fatboy.î No release date has yet been set in the US, but if youíre craving some Fatboy, he has a new single, ìDonít Let The Man Get You Down,î which can be found on the SSX3 video game soundtrack, as well as on the upcoming version of the Cornerstone Player, number .047.
