Lyrics Born Drops Debut Album, Hits The Road

After three years of work, groundbreaking hip-hop artist Lyrics Born released his debut album, Later That Day, this week. The release is not your typical hip-hop record, but instead it piles on layers of funk, R&B, rock, reggae and soul to make something that defies genre. A number of guests make special appearances on Later That Day, including Lateef, Jurassic 5’s Cut Chemist, Germany’s Poets Of Rhythm, Bay Area hero Tommy Guerrero, and Blackalicious’ Gift Of Gab.

Lyrics Born will go out on the road later this month with the Cali Comm 2003 tour to support Later That Day. Cali Comm kicks off in Sacramento, CA, with confirmed dates thus far stretching to November 18 at the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO. More dates are expected to be confirmed soon.
