Radiohead Remix Release In The Works?

MTV reports that Radiohead have begun commissioning remixes for a forthcoming LP or EP due out next year. The details are still a bit sketchy, but a spokesperson for the band has revealed that hip-hip producer Madlib (who just released the jazz remix album, Shades Of Blue, on Blue Note) was personally asked by the band to take part in the fun. Having never heard a Radiohead record before, Madlib took a crash course in their music and finally decided to rework “Sit Down, Stand Up” from Hail To The Thief. Electronic producer Four Tet has also been tapped for the project and will tackle “Scatterbrain.” We’ll keep you posted as more details are revealed. This definitely sounds cool.
