Mark Kozelek Of Sun Kil Moon Announces Solo Dates

In need of some sadcore? If youíre in one of a handful of major US cities, you can wallow in the sadness of some live Mark Kozelek. The ex-Red House Painters frontman has formed a new band, Sun Kil Moon and recorded a record, Ghosts of the Great Highway. The record features appearances by former RHP bandmate Anthony Koutsos on drums, as well as fellow drummer Tim Mooney of American Music Club and ex-Black Lab bass player, Geoff Stanfield. However, this tour is just Kozelek acoustic and kicks off December 5 in Chicago. Dates in Boston, Philly, Baltimore, Seattle, and two in NYC are on the docket for 2003, while Koz already has two 2004 dates in stone, January 17 in LA and January 22 in SF. Sadcore rules.
