Ron Fischetti, Courtney Love’s lawyer, revealed yesterday that the star has been at the Wavelengths live-in rehab facility in Malibu California since November 21. Fischetti told MTV that though the process of detoxification is slow, “she’s doing extremely well.” He also hopes that her time in rehab will not only help the singer physically, but will also help resolve legal issues stemming from an arrest and overdose in October. Love had initially hoped to use a private nurse help her detoxify, but lawyers advised her to pick a court-recognized facility. On December 11, the court will decide whether Love will be eligible to avoid jail time because of her rehab stint. Love’s legal team expect that she will, in fact, be able to resolve her legal problems, however, a spokesperson for the LA district attorney said the star’s time at Wavelengths will have no bearing on the charges.
