Every parent’s worst nightmare, the Girls Gone Wild franchise, has just inked a deal with Jive Records to release a series of compilation CDs. Billboard reports that Mantra Entertainment, the company behind Girls Gone Wild, will sell the comps at retail stores, via direct marketing campaigns, on-campus appearances, and infomercials. No release date been announced as of yet, but the company’s first release will feature “a mix of tracks by chart-topping artists and old school party songs,” Mantra chairman Joe Francis said in a statement. He added “it’s the perfect mix of tunes for barely-legal, ¸ber drunk teen girls to shake their boobies to.” Well, he said that second part a little differently – “The Girls Gone Wild compilations will capture the spirit and youthful party lifestyle that the Girls Gone Wild brand has come to signify” – but it means the exact same thing. Mantra is not stopping there either. They are working with MGM on a GGW film project. They also have plans for an apparel line, and a restaurant chain.
