Ted Leo DVD Documentary In The Works

A day in the life of indie rock cult hero Ted Leo and of course, The Pharmacists, has been captured on a forthcoming DVD documentary entitled Dirty Old Town. Directed by Justin Mitchell, the film will be released on DVD February 24 via Plexifilm. According to Billboard, Dirty Old Town follows Leo and company on July 19, 2003, when the band played the Siren Music Festival on New York’s Coney Island. The band’s full set at Siren is featured on the release, as are personal interviews, bonus performance footage from an August 14, 2003, gig at New York’s South Street Seaport during the city’s massive power outage, and a solo show at Pianos. Leo has some West Coast dates with The Fiery Furnaces lined up this month and some Midwest and East Coast dates scheduled for March. The March trek will find Leo teaming with a number of killer opening acts along the way, including We Regazzi and Radio 4.
