Tibet House Benefit Boasts Bright Eyes, Byrne, More

The 14th annual Tibet House benefit concert will be held on February 25 at NYC’s Carnegie Hall. Billboard reports that the show will feature performances from David Byrne, Bright Eyes, Ray Davies, Yo La Tengo, Keb’ Mo’, Nawang Khechog and artistic director Philip Glass. The event will also commemorate the Monlam Prayer Festival. This festival was established in Tibet in 1409 but was outlawed by the Chinese government after their brutal takeover of the peace-loving nation. The Tibet House organization’s major goal is to preserve and restore Tibet’s unique culture and spiritual heritage.

Tickets for the event can be purchased by calling the venue at 212.807.0563. However, for a little more, tickets that include a fundraising reception with the artists can be purchased through the Tibet House. Call them at 212.807.0563.
