New York rock outfit The French Kicks have just returned home from a fruitful trip to LA, and they’ve got a brand new album to show for it. Dubbed The Trial Of The Century, the 11-track offering does not have an official release date as of yet, but StarTime commander-in-chief Isaac Green says the record will be out this spring, most likely before May. Doug Boehm, who has worked on records for The Anniversary, Saves The Day and The Vines, produced the album at Sonora Recordings in LA. Equally as exciting is news that the French Kicks will be touring with ex-StarTime label mates The Walkmen, who are releasing an album of their own next month (and it is fucking great!). The two bands will team up March 5 in Cleveland, OH through March 24 in Carrboro, NC.
Prior to the full tour, The French Kicks will warm up with a brief residency at The Mercury Lounge in NYC. The band will headline shows every Wednesday night in February, taking the stage at 10:00pm each evening.
