On June 1 in Noblesville, IN, two of SoCal’s most successful rock bands, No Doubt and Blink-182, will embark on a 13-date tour of the US. The co-headlining trek, which will undoubtedly fill each amphitheater along the way, was scheduled around the busy life of No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani. The singer/actress/model has a few very important projects on her plate, including her debut solo album for Interscope and an acting role in the upcoming Scorsese film The Aviator. No Doubt manager Jim Guerinot told Billboard, “I was like, ‘Gwen, can you give me three weeks?’ I would have loved to have had a whole summer of this tour.”
Both bands are looking forward to sharing the stage together. Blink’s Tom DeLonge said, “This is a great opportunity to see two bands from Southern California that have history spanning over a decade. We’re honored to be sharing a stage with them again like we did 10 years ago.”
Tony Kanal of No Doubt told Billboard, “”It’s been a while since we’ve been on the road, so we’re really excited to go out again and celebrate the release of our singles collection [Singles 1992-2003]. I know we will have a great time with the Blink guys.”
