Space Return From Outer Limits With Suburban Rock ‘n’ Roll

ìThe female of the species is much deadlier than the male.î Remember that lyric line from ìFemale Of The Speciesî by Space? Whatever happened to that happy-go-lucky Liverpudlian quartet? They dropped their debut, Spiders, in 1996, followed it up with a UK-only record in 1998, and then seemingly disappeared. But now they are back! The lineup has been slightly altered since those ìFemaleî days, with guitarist Jamie Murphy out the door and longtime mate Dave ìYorkieî Palmer in and they now have their third album, Suburban Rock ëní Roll, ready for release. It will drop in the UK on RandM records on March 8 and will be preceded two weeks earlier by the single release of the title track. What will Space 2004 sound like? A few weeks and that question will be answered.
