Irish-via-Scotland rockers Snow Patrol have changed labels, changed their sound and are planning to showcase both facts with a new album and a short tour of the US. The bandís excellent 2003 import, Final Straw, will be released in the US in March via A&M/Interscope and the ex-Jeepster Records crew, who have beefed up their sound with the production help of former Compulsion guitarist Garrett ìJacknifeî Lee have a six-date tour on tap, culminating with an appearance at South By Southwest. Prior to that, the Gary Lightbody-led brigade will play five gigs in major markets in February, starting Feburary 16 in Cambridge, MA, and ending in Los Angeles on February 23, with stops in NYC and SF on the way.
