Another fledgling UK act will be coming to America for the first time this spring in an attempt to win over fans and spread the joyousness of their music. South Londoners Athlete will play a few live gigs in March before unleashing their 2003 summery import gem, Vehicles & Animals on the US market. The album, which was a great success in the UK, garnering it a Mercury Music Prize nomination, will hit US shelves on May 18 via our friends at Astralwerks. Two months prior, in March, the boys will play a gig in NYC on March 16 and another at South By Southwest on March 18. Hopefully, a few more dates will be announced to allow the gospel of Athlete to be spread further.
