New Animated Batman Series To Feature Theme Tune By The Edge

Another Batman release, another U2 involvement. Itís not quite that trite, though. This isnít to be a second coming of ìHold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me Kill Me.î At least this time it sounds a little bit more interesting on paper. NME is reporting that The Edge is to provide a new take on the classic Batman theme. Evidently, there is a new animated TV version on the way this fall, to be shown on WB Kids and Cartoon Network, and the producers have approached the guitar wiz to work his magic on the standout TV tune. Not only that, but original TV Batman Adam West will return as the voice of the mayor, while throaty actress and rocker Gina Gershon speaks for Catwoman. How will it pan out? Turn on your TV in September and see.
