Wilco Spawn Supernatural Apparition

Chicago-based, veteran rock outfit Wilco have announced some solid details surrounding the release of their highly anticipated follow-up to 2002’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. According to Billboard, the new album has been dubbed A Ghost Is Born and it’s been slated for release on June 8 via Nonesuch Records. Jeff Tweedy and company are currently at London’s storied Abbey Road Studios mastering the new record.


A Ghost Is Born was recorded in New York with Sonic Youth’s Jim O’Rourke behind the boards. A full tour in support of the new record is in the works, but as of yet, only a few warm-up dates are confirmed leading up to Wilco’s appearances at the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival in Indio, CA, and Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN. We’ll keep you posted as more tour dates are announced.
