Oliveri Still Wants To Be A Queen

“I didn’t quit Queens,” is the statement made on a recent web post by the allegedly ex-Queens Of The Stone Age bassist, Nick Oliveri. Last week, frontman Josh Homme said that the two had “recently parted ways” due to “a number of incidents occurring over the last 18 months.”

According to Rolling Stone, Oliveri believes that these incidents that Homme is referring to must be his hard-partying hijinks. “Yeah, I get fucked up,” he responded. “I get real fucked up, but I show up to play.” How so very responsible of him.

Work on a new Queens album is underway and Oliveri wants in. “I want to make another fuckin’ record, [and] I think Queens is a great fuckin’ band . . . I just need to talk to Josh, but I can’t get in touch with him.”
