The producers of the forthcoming Johnny Cash film, I Walk The Line, told the Associated Press that they may begin shooting in June. The film, which will chronicle the legendary singer’s life, will star Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash and Reese Witherspoon as his wife, June Carter Cash. The film has a budget that’s roughly $28 million and though the singer spent most of his time in Tennessee, Louisiana is trying to outbid the Volunteer state and the city of Memphis for the filming locale rights, with tax breaks and incentives.
