Brendan Benson Enters NYC Studio This Week To Mix New Album

On Friday, April 2, Brendan Benson will step into Stratosphere Studios with mixing guru Chris Shaw (Dashboard, No Motiv) to put the finishing touches on his new album, the follow up to 2002’s Lapalco. Next week, Brendan will start practicing with his new band, a group that features members of the Welfed Boys, The Waxwings and The Realistics. On April 13 (8:30pm) and 14 (10:00pm) at the Mercury Lounge, Brendan and company will debut the fruits of their labor, performing songs off the forthcoming release. Don’t worry though, he’ll of course be playing some old favs as well. It’s the smallest room Brendan has played in NYC for quite some time, so don’t be late. We’ll let you know as soon as our friends at StarTime set a release date.
