Moogmasters and purveyors of all things groovy Stereolab have finally come back to this continent. Itís been two years since Tim Gane, Laetitia Sadier and gang were here and itíll be their first time in North America without longtime band member Mary Hansen who was killed in a traffic accident in December 2002. The tour will kick off (with Clearlake supporting through April 17) in Minneapolis on April 6 and the last gig on the tour will take place at the epic Coachella Festival on May 1. The tour is in support of the bandís ninth album, Margerine Eclipse, and after Clearlake jump off the boat, Mice Parade will jump on for the ride through but not including the Coachella date.
