Two of today’s most talented songwriters, Beck and Jeff Tweedy have made some life-altering changes as of late. We just got word that Beck took time out from recording his new album to marry his eight-month-pregnant girlfriend, Marissa Ribisi (Giovanni Ribisi’s twin sis). According to the New York Post, a “well-placed” source says the two were married in a very small ceremony with family and friends in Santa Monica on Saturday.
Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy made a different sort of change in his life. He has entered rehab in order to help him combat an addiction to painkillers. A statement released by the band reads, “The treatment follows a well-documented history of Tweedy’s battle with migraine headaches.” Those who saw the beautiful piece of filmmaking magic known as I Am Trying To Break Your Heart got a first hand account of Tweedy’s horrible migraines when the singer became sick to his stomach after an awkward confrontation with since-departed band mate Jay Bennett. There’s no word yet as to whether or not Tweedy’s rehab stint will affect the band’s forthcoming appearances at Coachella and Bonnaroo, but we’ll let you know if we hear something.
