New Beasties Single To Air On The O.C.

Fox’s smash 90210 remake, otherwise known as The O.C., will prominently feature the new Beastie Boys single, “Ch-Check It Out” on the April 28th episode of the show. “Ch-Check It Out” is the first single from the B-Boy’s forthcoming new album The 5 Boroughs and not-so-coincidentally, the song will be made available for airplay that same week. The O.C. has proven itself to be a haven for fresh, up-and-coming talent. The Phantom Planet song “California” is used as the show’s theme song and Rooney previously performed on an episode. However, the show has yet to champion a high-profile act, such as the Beasties. Fucking sellouts. Ha! Just kidding.

The first in a series of Music From The OC CDs is out now and features tracks from Spoon, The Dandy Warhols and more. If you watch the show (I don’t), the April 28 episode will feature the O.C. guys in Vegas for an impromptu bechelor party and the O.C. chicks getting into trouble at home with their own bachelorette party. Yay.
