Last Friday (April 30), The Cure were honored with their very own place on the Hollywood Rockwalk. The Associated Press report that the band’s five members were present to place their hands in a concrete block that will be installed outside of the original Guitar Center on Sunset Boulevard. The Cure join other music legends like Chuck Berry, The Ramones and Van Halen in receiving the honor. In other news, a pair of musicians who claim to have played a hand in writing songs on Ozzy Osbourne’s Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman had their hopes of a big pay-day shot down by the Supreme Court today. The two men claim the Ozz man cheated them out of royalties they deserve for writing songs that are now used in television commercials and during NFL games, but a California judge didn’t see eye to eye with them and dismissed the lawsuit.
