Limp Bizkit Not Breaking Up… Bummer

Hopeful internet geeks have been spreading rumors of a Limp Bizkit split, but sadly, they were mistaken. Writing on the band’s official website, Bizkit frontman Fred Durst quashed those dirty rumors. “We are playing some TV show on May 11 then going on a U.S. tour [at] the end of June, then writing a new album, then going to Europe.” I know, we’re just as bummed as you are. There were also some nasty rumors going around that the band had been dropped from Interscope, but again, they turned out to be wrong. “Limp has done very very well for ourselves and our label and we would never leave and they would never dream of getting rid of us. It’s weird to hear silly sh*t like that from some poser with a keyboard,” writes Durst.

I’m not sure it’s wise to say your label would never dream of dropping you, but hey, no one ever said Fred Durst was a genius. As for the rest of us, I suppose it’s time to put away the party favors and “Limp Bizkit R.I.P.” ice cream cake. It looks like losing a guitar player, boos from the crowd and bottles to the head have done nothing to convince the band to call it quits. WellÖ there’s always disappointing album sales to fall back on.
