WPLY & Live 105 Announce Summer Festival Lineups

Coachella has passed and you really know summer is upon us now: the summer radio festivals have started coming down the pipeline. Two of the the first big ones have been announced, for WPLY in Philadelphia and Live 105 in San Francisco. WPLYís Fez-tival, held this year on Friday, June 18, is a heavy-hitting affair. The gig at the Tweeter Center will host appearances from The Strokes, The Darkness, Cypress Hill, Hoobastank, Story Of The Year, Burning Brides and special guests Beastie Boys. Side stage bands are still on the way, so stay tuned.

Live 105ís BFD will occur a week earlier on Friday, June 11, and has an equally big-time feel to it. Sharing bands such as the Beasties, Strokes, and Story Of The Year, BFD also adds a host of other bands. Also rocking the Shoreline Amphitheatre on the Main Stage with the Beasties and Strokes will be Violent Femmes and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, while joining SOTY on the Budweiser Music Festival Stage will be stage headliners Bad Religion, along with Death Cab For Cutie, New Found Glory, The Killers, The Von Bondies, The Stills, Yellowcard, and The Fire Theft. Add The Streets and Dizzee Rascal in the Subsonic Tent and you have one of the strongest lineups in recent radio history. Tickets for the PLY Feztival go on sale Friday, May 7, while Liveís tickets are available from Sunday, May 9.
