Whatís with Tripping Daisy? Not only did it spawn the 23-headed love child that is The Polyphonic Spree, but it also played a hand in The Secret Machines. Machine man Ben Curtis played with the Daisy, but now his energies are focused on Secret Machines, whose debut album for Reprise, Now Here Is Nowhere, dropped yesterday and who are about to head out on tour in celebration. May 24 will the the first date of the tour, with a gig occurring in scenic Orlando, FL, and the final date will be in the Big Apple almost a month later on June 23, with most dates in support of Fire Theft. If you like Flaming Lips, Grandaddy or Mercury Rev, weíd suggest that Secret Machines be on your gig radar.
