Is Pete Doherty Leaving The Libertines Again?

The on-again, off-again, on-again, off-again drama that is the day-to-day for The Libertines has taken another twist. Pete Doherty, who last year left the band due to drug reasons and recently checked himself into a prominent UK rehab center, has made rumblings that he may be out the door, yet again. In a posting on his website, where he often updates fans as to the goings-on with the band, he told readers, “all gigs are off including the festivals I was ‘too unwell’ to play last year.” Is this for real? Is Doherty really leaving the band and not taking part in their upcoming shows, like the London Unity anti-racism gig on June 6, the Isle Of Wight festival, and T In The Park? Or is this just another step in the daily shift of all things Libertine? Stay tuned to find out.
