Nick Oliveri Dusts Himself Off, Records Solo Acoustic Album

It didnít take long for Nick Oliveri to land on his feet. Just scant months ago, the Queens Of The Stone Age bassist was sent packing by band leader Josh Homme. Now, a mere four months later, Oliveri has completed a 21-track solo acoustic album, All Is Forgotten. The record, which will be released on Duna Records, the label headed by Oliveriís ex-Kyuss and current Mondo Generator mate Brant Bjork, is comprised of Oliveri on acoustic guitar and acoustic bass, with some horns thrown in for good measure, but no drums. It also features a new version of QOTSAís ìAuto Pilot,î as well as a re-jigged Mondo Generator track and a song that Oliveri had written for the upcoming QOTSA record.
