Tonight, in Cleveland Heights, OH, the cross-dressing glam/disco/rock troop known as The Scissor Sisters will begin a summer-long tour trek that will carry them across the country, the pond, and back again. This week and next, the band will play Detroit, Chicago, Anaheim, and a pair of shows in Los Angeles at Spaceland and The Avalon. On June 11, the eccentric group will head overseas, where they’ve already established themselves and achieved a substantial amount of critical and economic success. With the release of their self-titled debut album slated for July 27 via Universal Records, the Scissor Sisters will return to North America on July 20 to play a number of dates leading up to (and just following) the street date. The band will wrap up their second stint of US dates this summer with a performance at Virgin Megastore and a gig at PS1 on July 30 and 31 respectively. Read on for tour details.
