The Pixies, Franz Ferdinand, Wilco, Broken Social Scene, and over 130 other acts have signed on to perform at the third annual Austin City Limits festival. Taking place from September 17-19 in Austin’s Zilker Park, the festival is expected to draw more than 150,000 music lovers from all over the country with it’s incredibly eclectic line-up, great food, and vibrant art market. ìItís been truly incredible to watch the Austin City Limits Music Festival grow and receive such a great response from both artists and fans. What started out as an idea to share the show with a large audience has grown significantly into one of the countryís top music festivals,î said Charlie Jones, promoter and principal at Capital Sports & Entertainment, which organizes the Festival (and co-produces the television series with KLRU-TV). Three-day passes to the event will run $70 for one more day, but will go up to $75 tomorrow. Kids under 10 are allowed in free as long as they’re with an adult with a ticket, so bring the fam for a great weekend of rock, funk, jazz, folk, country, and bluegrass.
