Two Idlewild Showcases For Lucky Los Angelinos

Scottish rockers Idlewild are currently in the greater Los Angeles region, recording tracks for their upcoming record. The currently nameless set, their fourth, and first since last yearís sheer brilliance of The Remote Part, was recorded in part in Sweden with The Remote Part producer Dave Eringa and is being finished up in Southern California under the watchful eye of Beck and Air knob-twiddler Tony Hoffer. Those lucky souls in LA will get two opportunities to see the band in a stripped-down environment, as the quartet will play two acoustic gigs on July 5 and 6 at the Hotel CafÈ. The set will include new material, as well as old favorites, and the intimate gigs are sure to sell out in no time flat. Why canít they be recording in San Francisco, dammit?
