Snoop Brings Rhymes, Pimp Chalice To Star Trak

The ultimate free agent of the hip hop community is taking his talents to yet another record label, as Snoop Dogg has just inked a deal with Star Trak. For those unfamiliar with Star Trak, it’s the label formed by the hit making production duo of Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams, a.k.a. The Neptunes. Hugo spoke to MTV News about the partnership, saying, “We’re trying to bring him back to Chronic-era Snoop.” Snoop D O double G’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled new album, which will be put out in conjunction with the rapper’s own Doggystyle imprint, will be one of the first two records released on Star Trak since their split with Arista Records earlier this year. The label is now partnered with Interscope.
