Hot Hot Heat Ready To Hit The Studio For Sophomore Effort

Victoria, British Columbia’s Hot Hot Heat have spent most of this year writing and recording songs for the follow-up to their 2002 Sub Pop debut, Make Up The Breakdown. With roughly 25 songs ready to go, the band is now set to enter the studio with producer Dave Sardy (Dandy Warhols, Jet, Helmet), who will help them narrow that number down to about 16 (13 of which will eventually find their way to the album). According to Billboard, there is no timetable set for the as-yet-untitled album, which will also be the band’s major label debut for Sire. Hot Hot Heat have no tour plans prior to the completion of the album, so it may be a while before fans will get a chance to hear new HHH material.
