New York rock outfit The Walkmen are the latest in what is sure to be an onslaught of summer tour announcements due to the cancelation of Lollapalooza. The band will hit the road with Modest Mouse for at least eight shows this summer beginning in Chico, CA, at the Senator Theater. On days when they’re not playing with Modes Mouse, The Walkmen have lined up a number of headlining gigs that are scattered from July 13 in Seattle to August 8 in Newport, KY. The Walkmen will be touring behind their latest release, Bows And Arrows, which spawned the best single of single of the year thus far (in my opinion) in the form of “The Rat.” Jeremy P. Goldstein, of course, disagrees that it’s the best, but even his UK-loving ass can agree that “The Rat” is in the top five. Read on for the full tour itinerary.
