Chili Peppers Release First Live Album, But Not Here

With a career that spans two decades, you’d think that the Red Hot Chili Peppers might have released a live album somewhere along the way. However, if you did think that, you’d be wrong, as the band is prepping the release of their very first live CD as we speak. Scheduled for release on July 26 in Europe and August 2 in Australia, Live In Hyde Park is a double-disk set recorded June 19, 20 and 25 at the outdoor park in London turned concert venue. The band played for 100,000 fans each night and rocked such favorites as “Under The Bridge,” “Give It Away” and “Californication” as well as a cover of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and new songs like “Mini-Epic,” “Leverage Of Space” and “Rolling Sly Stone.” However, according to Billboard, Warner Bros. unfortunately has no plans to bring this release to North America. Bummer. I guess we’ll have to get it off of Amazon UK.
