Have you ever wanted to go to a party at Hef’s house? Of course you have. Well now, sunlight-starved video game nerds and probably some regular people, too, will not only get to go to Playboy parties, they’ll get to throw them! Sure, they will be parties in the virtual world, but when it comes down to it, is there really a difference between breast implants and digital boobies anyway? With Playboy: The Mansion, gamers will take on the persona of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and will be given the task of building the Playboy empire by developing contacts, keeping the bunnies happy, selling magazines and throwing killer parties. The game, which will be available on PC, XBOX and PS2 on November 2, also features a number of celebrity guests. Carmen Elektra, Andrew W.K., Uncle Kracker, Dave Baksh from Sum 41, Melissa Joan Hart, Jose Canseco and tons of other musicians, athletes, comedians, actors, models and otherwise famous people. I’d expect Fred Durst to be in there, too.
Don’t expect to have your way with the stars though. Each celeb in the game was able to choose which actions he or she will or won’t do. For example, senior producer Eric Marcoullier told the AP, Sum 41’s Dave Baksh will “play sports, drink, get drunk, make out and have sex with women, smoke cigars, but he won’t jump on the trampoline.” In addition, someone like David Copperfield will do magic, but not eat red meat, and Carmen Elektra will not have sex since she’s married – just oral. (for legal purposes, I made that part up about Carmen. She’ll only flash her boobs. Damn, there I go again.)
