The Cramps Compile Unreleased Material For New Two CD Set

Seminal NYC punkabilly outfit The Cramps have announced plans to drop a brand new album, sort of. Due out September 21 through Vengeance Records, How To Make A Monster captures two discs worth of previously unreleased material including 1982 studio demos with Gun Club drummer Terry Graham, the band’s third ever live gig at Max’s Kansas City, and “strange home demos,” according to a spokesperson. The release will also feature extensive liner notes from band members Lux and Ivy, with rare and unseen photos and flyers from their personal collection. A 34-date US tour is in the works as well and will kick off a day after the album’s release. We’ll keep you posted.
