Bloc Party Ink With Dim Mak

Steve Aoki does it again. The Dim Mak owner and fellow Tripwire user has signed Bloc Party, a band that has been the subject of a fair amount of industry buzz as of late. “It is a really big day for us here that we signed a band we feel will be the most influential band of this decade,” said Aoki. Those are strong words, sure, but coming from a guy that helped launch the careers of The Kills, The Von Bondies, and Whirlwind Heat to name a few, I’d say he just might be right. We’re obviously fans of this band as well and have included Bloc Party tracks as imports on the last two Players, most recently, “Little Thoughts” on Player .053. Will Bloc Party be THE signing of 2004? Only time will tell, but they’ve definitely got a shot. We’ll give you a heads up when we get some release and/or tour info.
