Critical acclaim is starting to flow in for upstart brother-sister duo Fiery Furnaces. Their second long-player, Blueberry Boat, has been receiving kind words on both sides of the Atlantic and to further enrapture their fan base (and hopefully to make some new fans along the way), Matthew and Eleanor Friedberger and whatever rhythm section they choose are planning to rock the house live. Starting in Boston on Deptember 10, the tour will last just over two weeks with the last night taking place on September 25 at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. The ‘Furnaces will be joined on all dates by White Magic, so between the Fire and the Magic, it should be quite an evening out. Maybe you can wear a cape.
