It’s not a record of all new Neko Case material, but any new record is always a good thing. While perhaps best known more recently for her work with The New Pornographers, Case has been bringing her brand of Americana to fans for years. In fact, she’s about to issue a live album that features mostly standards, as well as covers of tunes by Loretta Lynn and The Shangri-La’s, but it also captures a few of her own special songs. Culled from a seven-night Chicago & Toronto tour, The Tigers Have Spoken, features a wide array of guest musicians and is set to be in stores via Anti- on November 9. Until then, if you’re headed to Austin, you can catch Ms. Case at the Austin City Limits Festival and gauge it all for yourself.
