Brooklyn’s uber hip, eclectic, psych dance rockers TV On The Radio have just revealed the contents of their collective Palm pilot to all, spewing forth a wealth of information on their plans for the fall. On October 12, the band will release a low carb solution for the rock & roll masses dubbed New Health Rock. According to the label, while this release may not add years to your life, it is guaranteed to aid in the weight loss process due to the ass shaking that is sure to occur once the music starts playing. TVOTR will embark on a North American tour in support of New Health Rock on October 7 in Chicago. They’ll be opening for Omaha, Nebraska’s favorite indie dance rockers, The Faint, along the way. The Faint will be releasing the follow up to their 2001 break out album Danse Macabre, called Wet From Birth, on September 14 though Saddle Creek.
On November 21 in Houston, TX, TVOTR will wrap up their trek with The Faint, but their year of rock will not end there. The band has been selected to open for none other than rock legends The Pixies in Washington, DC, and their home town of New York City in December. Congratulations to TVOTR, they’ve had quite a year.
