Renaissance man Andre 3000 can now add “director” to the long list of work experience on his resume. In association with Quentin Tarantino and Lawrence Bender’s production company, A Band Apart, Andre shot the video for the new OutKast single, “Prototype,” on July 31 and August 1 in Thousand Oaks, CA. According to a company spokesperson, the video “tells a story about a family of aliens (Protos) who land their Protoship in a field of flowers where they encounter a human female photographer and while befriending her, Andre and the human fall in love.” Look for the premiere in late August, but for now, check out some images from the shoot.
