On Spetember 12 at a party at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood, The Ramones will celebrate their 30th anniversary. A slew of stars are scheduled to perform at the event, including Eddie Vedder, Tim Armstrong, Henry Rollins, Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus, Pete Yorn and Chili Peppers members Flea and John Frusciante, amongst others. Of course, Marky and C. J. Ramone, as well as producer Daniel Rey, will also be taking the stage. According to Billboard, in addition to the live performances, a “once in a lifetime exhibition of Ramones memorabilia” will be featured for fans to peruse. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Lymphoma Research Foundation and Cedars-Sinai Prostate Cancer Research Center.
More acts are expected to be added to the bill, though unless you already have tickets, you won’t be seeing them. The event is already sold out.
