Express: DVD Version Of Blur’s Starshaped; Best Of Travis On The Way

Though neither of these have a domestic release date, the miracle of modern technology (and/or the ability to order stuff off of Amazon UK) will ensure that die hard Brit pop fans will be able to get their dirty mitts on “new” offerings from Blur and Travis before year’s end. First off, on September 27, Blur will re-release their acclaimed tour documentary Starshaped, which follows the band from 1991-1994 as they tour in support of their debut album Lesiure and sophomore effort, Modern Life Is Rubbish. According to NME, extras exclusive to the DVD will include footage from an early 1990 show at Leicester’s Princess Charlotte and an entire 1991 gig at Kilburn National Ballroom.

Blur are not the only ones gearing up for the holiday season with a “new” release. On November 1, Travis will release Singles. As you might guess, the CD collects all of the band’s singles along with an obligatory brand new track. Dubbed “Waiting In The Sun”, the new song was produced and mixed by Nigel Godrich and Mike Hedges and will be released as a single in mid October. Check out the Singles track listing below.
