U2 Release Album Details

Fresh off having The Edge’s personal copy of the new album stolen at a photo shoot in Nice, France, U2 have confirmed more details of their new album set for release on November 22. As of now the follow up to 2000’s All That You Can’t Leave Behind remains untitled but conventional wisdom is pointing towards Vertigo as the group’s leading choice and first single. Some of the song tiltles, as mentioned in Q Magazine and NME, will be “Vertigo”, “Man And A Woman”, “Yahweh”, “Crumbs From Your Table” and “City Of Blinding Lights”.

Frontman Bono, commenting on the recent theft, said that the band would be willing to release the record early rather than face an online leak months before release. He said on NME: “If it is on the Internet this week, we will release it immediately as a legal download on iTunes, and get hard copies into the shops by the end of the month. It would be a real pity. It would screw up years of work and months of planning, not to mention f**king up our holidays. But once it’s out, it’s out.”
