Raveonettes Join Forces With The Velvet Underground

In a collaboration almost too good to be true, The Raveonettes have drafted legendary Velvet Underground drummer Maureen Tucker to perform on their upcoming third album. Tucker’s musical career began in the 60’s with the Velvet Underground but switched gears in the mid 80’s when she picked up guitar and recorded solo albums including Moejadkatebarry and Life In Exile After Abdication. Returning to her drumming roots, she is working on songs such as “Ode To L.A.”, “You Say You Lie”, “The Heavens”, “Everyday” and “Red Tan”.  Sune Wagner, frontman of the Ravonettes, told NME, “Needless to say, The Raves are flattered.” Currently holed up in a studio in NYC’s Greenwich Village, the Scandinavian duo’s follow-up to Chain Gang Of Love should see the light of day in late 2004 or early 2005.
